dim sum
Dim sum are snacks and dumplings that literally mean ‘touch the heart’ and are central to the Cantonese tea house tradition of yum cha which means simply 'to drink tea’, but eating dim sum. Reading newspapers and catching up with friends and family are all part of the experience.

Means ‘cook and sell’ because of their unsurpassed popularity.
Egg noodle wrappers are filled with a mixture of pork, prawns, Chinese mushrooms and water chestnuts.

The filling is minced prawns, water chestnuts and bamboo shoots folded into wrappers made from wheat starch.
 
Steamed char siu bao. 3.85
These filled, slightly sweet buns filled with barbecue pork (char siu) are a Cantonese speciality.
 
Wor tips 3.95
These are dumplings filled with pork, Chinese leaves and ginger.
They are cooked by steaming , then pan-fried to give a slight crisp edge.
To be dipped in Chinese red vinegar.
